Through research and community engagement, we have identified several critical issues impacting youth today.
- First, students of color are less likely to graduate high school. As a result, cycles of poverty, crime, and unemployment continue.
- Additionally, the shift toward science and technology, combined with limited funding, has reduced access to arts education in schools.
- Moreover, rising violence has highlighted mental health stigmas and communication gaps across cultural, ethnic, and social groups.

At The Empowerment Approach, we believe education, mentorship, creative outlets, and meaningful community connections can break barriers and create lasting change. Our mission is rooted in empowering youth to become confident leaders who positively influence their friends, families, schools, and communities.
Our Initiative
The Empowerment Approach exists to encourage, promote, and support programs that inspire youth and strengthen communities.
Through our initiatives, we equip the next generation with tools and resources to thrive in every aspect of life across three core areas.
Educational Excellence: Through the Developing Legacies Scholarship program, we invest in local high school seniors committed to service and community impact. Furthermore, we transform inspiration into action by helping students build their legacy and empower others.
Mentoring for a Purpose: We believe positive role models build confidence and inspire youth to reach their full potential. Our Developing Voices Mentoring Program provides guidance in academics, communication, and creative development. Additionally, the program helps youth access valuable resources and opportunities beyond the classroom.
