The Developing Legacies Scholarship is The Empowerment Approach’s Gulf Coast Scholarship Program, created to remove financial barriers and support high school seniors in the selected counties along the Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida Gulf Coast who share our passion for community service and pursuing higher education or career training. Through scholarships and community investment, we help students build brighter futures while serving their communities. Through the Developing Legacies Scholarship, we hope to take the inspirate to a tangible level, enabling young adults to develop their legacy and empower their community.
Who Can Apply for Our Scholarship:
- Current high school seniors in the selected counties along the Gulf Coast.
- Applicants committed to community service and empowerment.
- Pursuing a degree or certification from a two-year or four-year college/university or a vocational training program in selected focus areas.
Scholarship Application Requirements:
- Students must provide the following:
- An essay reflecting on their chosen degree or training program and how they will use it to give back to their community.
- Resume of community service and extracurricular activities
Students can apply starting January 3rd through March 31st of the current year.
We will notify and announce the scholarship recipient in the summer of the current year.
