November is National Scholarship Month! We are excited to announce the launch of our Developing Legacies Scholarship. This new scholarship program targets students who are passionate about giving back to their community.
The scholarship is open to current high school seniors along the Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida Gulf Coast who plan to major in education, creative arts, social justice, or social work. The Empowerment Approach’s mission is to inspire others to give back to their community. Through the Developing Legacies Scholarship, we hope to take the inspirate to a tangible level, enabling young adults to develop their legacy and empower their community.
To apply, students must write an essay reflecting on their chosen degree or training program and how they will use it to give back to their community. Then, they must upload their essay and a resume of community service and extracurricular activities to the application. Applications will open on January 5th through March 31st, 2022. We will announce the scholarship recipient in May 2022.
